What would you do if you had a million euros?

one million euros

It was a boring Monday morning. It was raining all night long and I had to attend a very important meeting…I was about to leave for work when a courier rang my bell and gave me a letter from a lawyer. A letter saying that my distant Uncle George had died. It was sad, even though I never had the chance to meet him. Bad news, bad morning news, bad morning news on Monday morning. What can I say? According to this lawyer, it seemed that I was the only heir and I was entitled to one million euros my uncle had left behind. I started screaming happily only to realise that I was dreaming while my alarm clock was beeping and beeping to wake me up. !!!

I couldn’t help but think…what would I do if I had a million euros? If my dream had not been a dream but a real fact? Hmmm…let me close my eyes and think about it for a moment. Firstly, I would feel blessed and very very lucky!!! Who would imagine waking up in the morning and being a millionaire? Secondly, I would wish my family, friends, and myself stay healthy for the rest of our lives. Money has no value if you are not healthy enough to enjoy life!

Now, let’s spend some money!!!

Depts. I would pay them all. Not only mine but the depts my family and friends have…Hopefully, they do not total a million euros or even better we don’t have any!!! Savings and investments…I vote a big yes. I want to know that I will never need to work again if I choose to do so. I would definitely donate an amount of money in charity.

I would be glad to know the benefits children would gain from a school or a hospital donation. There is no such feeling as offering a better future to people in need.

After having completed all of my smart choices, I would take the opportunity to fulfill my lifelong dreams. First things first…a week of luxurious vacations with beloved people. I would rent a private island in an exotic location, with friends and family and get special services.

I imagine I could hire Gordon Ramsay to cook for us and masseurs to treat us properly. Spend our daytime at the beach, drinking juice and tasting exotic fruit, and have gourmet dinners and special cocktails in the evening by the swimming pool. After having the most luxurious relaxing week of our lives, we would move to a yacht. We would all spend another week on a yacht, doing exactly what we did the previous week… “enjoying life” to the maximum.

Now, let’s get more personal! With my partner of course!!! I’d love to spend a year traveling around the world. We would visit most of the famous attractions worldwide, spend time meeting local people, and eating traditional meals.

safari

A safari is a high priority on my “bucket list”, as well as a road trip to Tuscany. I want to see whales and dive in a sea and be fascinated by the colourful fish and unique coral reefs. Maybe I would try deep-sea treasure hunting and exploratory expeditions. I haven’t decided yet…

During traveling, we would stay in five-star hotels and have nothing but the best services and spa treatments fit for a royal couple.

What’s next on the list? Shopping! A week dedicated to shopping. I would dress myself to perfection with all the top designers’ collections and wear gorgeous pieces of jewelry. Now I am beginning to feel like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. I would start with shopping at Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. After that, I would fly in a rented private jet to New York City to visit the Fifth Avenue. What’s next? Paris of course! Time for a break…who can say no to a crepe or a crème Brulee? With this sweet sensation still lingering inside, I would head for Champs-Élysées. My favourite street, full of luxury boutiques. Even though I don’t like the humidity and the rain, I would not refuse a shopping experience in the streets of London and Harrods of course. And for the end of my shopping journey, I would choose Milan, not only for the shopping but also for the fashion shows.

Vineyard-Tuscany

Ok, let’s get serious…what about the rest of my life? Where would I live with my family? Since I can remember myself, I always dreamt of spending  my life in a house in the countryside. My dream home would be a stone house in a vineyard in Tuscany, with a garden full of flowers and a swimming pool. I imagine myself drinking coffee on the balcony, gazing at my vineyards and waiting patiently to produce fine wine. Having dinner with family and friends, dancing under the moonlight, chatting and laughing until the morning light. I dream a house full of joy…
