But how can we manage stress better? What should we avoid?
Avoid:
– critisizing and blaming yourself for what is happening,
– having regrets for not responding to what others were expecting,
– expressing yourself in a ‘negative’ manner.
To avoid stress, you have to change your way of thinking. Talk to yourself, feel happy with what you have done, take a deep breath and keep moving. Avoid using negative words like ‘don’t’, ‘no’ and ‘should’. Your thoughts are directly connected and affect your feelings and behaviour. Speak to yourself either externally (loudly) or internally (from within you), try to relax and disorientate yourself from negative thoughts.
Find reasons to laugh or watch a program on your TV that makes you laugh. The message that automatically goes to the brain is that you are well. Remember to take a deep breath, exhale and keep a beautiful thought or image in your mind. And, of course, work out or put any kind of exercise into your life.
